Syangja: A girl was seriously injured on Sunday when her father hit her with a machete in Bhirkot Municipality-7. During a domestic dispute, 40-year-old Yama Bahadur Gurung of Bhirkot-7 Chiurikhark hit his 17-year-old daughter Juna with a stick.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Prasad Khanal informed that he, who was running a hotel business, hit his daughter with a sharp weapon (khukuri) during a domestic dispute.
The injured girl was taken to Western Regional Hospital Pokhara after receiving first aid at Bhirkot Nagar Hospital. Now he is being treated in the same hospital and his condition is serious, police said.
