Manang Air helicopter crashes into tree

The helicopter of Manang Air, which was out of contact, was found in a crashed state. The helicopter that flew from Surke in Solukhumbu to Kathmandu was found crashed in Lamzura area of Solukhumbu.

Chief DIG of Koshi Province Rajeshnath Bastola informed that the helicopter was found in an accident in the Lamjura area of Ward 5 of Likhupike Rural Municipality. According to him, the team of Asai Nirajan Basnet is continuing the rescue.

The bodies of five of the six people aboard the helicopter were found at the crash site. The condition of the other person is unknown. The helicopter with the call sign NA-MV which flew from Surke in Solukhumbu to Kathmandu at 9:52 in the morning lost contact at 10:1 in the morning. Captain Chet Bahadur Gurung flew the helicopter and five Mexicans were on board.
