Kedarnath Temple is a holy place of pilgrimage for Hindus. It is located in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is one of the most remote Chardhams in a Nagar Panchayat of Rudraprayag District in Uttarakhand, India.
It is considered to be the place where the famous Shivaji and the famous Shivlinga are located. This place is a famous pilgrimage site for Hindus. Kedarnath is located at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level.
It is one of the 12 jyotilings of Shiva. Adi Shankaracharya sacrificed his body in this Kedarnath in 820 AD. Dalbal of Bhairav is established in the south corner of Kedar in Kedarnath.
These are the guards of Bhairav’s Dalbal Kedar. Behind the temple of Kedar is the tomb of Shankaracharya. Important places in the pilgrimage sites here, the homakunda where Kedar married Parvati can still be seen. This is in the form of Trijuganarayan.
Kedarnath, priests and sages of Kedar live in this Ukhimath. This Kedar is considered to be the chief among the Panchkedars. Devotees who oversee the arrangement of Kedarnath worship live in this monastery.
